Where Are They Now?
BECA aspires to provide a formative experience for volunteers who are interested in serving the educational or social service needs of Hispanics in the USA upon completion of their time with us in Honduras. To name just a few of their accomplishments, our former volunteers are now...
- teaching in a dual-language classroom in Massachusetts,
- pursuing a Masters' in After-School Education while simultaneously teaching English to adult immigrants,
- studying in the bilingual education department at Bank Street College of Education,
- representing the legal rights of illegal immigrants in an impoverished community in New Jersey,
- working with a micro-finance organization based in Washington, DC, and
- teaching in a New York City elementary classroom.
