Our Supporters
We are so grateful to our many supporters whose generosity includes not only the VERY IMPORTANT financial contributions that enable us to sustain our program, but other creative forms of philanthropy as well. Some examples of our supporters' generosity are highlighted here:
Pro-Mark Corporation in Houston, Texas sent 22 sets of drumsticks directly to our program in Honduras via federal express in March 2005. Special thanks to Staci Stokes for facilitating this donation! Marching and drumming are hugely important parts of Honduras' Independence month celebrations, as well as other special events throughout the year. Since equipment such as drumsticks is so expensive in Honduras, we are very grateful for Pro-Mark's generosity and wish to assure our new friends that their generosity will literally RESONATE throughout Cofradia, Honduras!
VOSH-Indiana recently travelled to their clinic in San Pedro Sula. While they were in the Country, Claudia and Mabel (seventh grade students) and Vanessa (in second grade) received much needed eyeglasses through Vosh's eye exam and eyeglass distribution process (from which hundreds of people benefitted). Stay tuned for pictures of our trip to San Pedro Sula to meet with these generous friends. To all of our VOSH friends, thank you so much for this amazing gift and many thanks to Ms. Sage for her facilitation of this opportunity!
Sheridan School - Fifth Graders, who in addition to taking the time to learn about Honduras, raised $1,014.06 to support BECA's students and volunteers. Their support will cover the costs associated with educating three students for an entire year!
Ms. Renee Wilkinson who recently made a meaningful contribution towards BECA's program expenses and facility construction.
Kevin Sage and other Sage family members who collected donations for BECA in lieu of exchanging Christmas presents with each other. Their generosity will more than help to cover the cost of educating a child for an entire academic year.
Mrs. Nancy Wheeler and Green Meadow Elementary School in Maynard MA who are collecting amazing educational resources and supplies!
Mr. Todd Walton and all at Sheridan School in Washington, DC who have supplied us with multiple computers, educational resources, and emotional/financial support!
Ms. Catie Solan and students at Reingold Elementary School in Fitchburg, MA who have collected supplies for our teachers and students, raised money for our needs, and corresponded with our students!
Ms. Geri Pahl-Solan through her intrepid shopping expertise and dedication!
Wheelock College's alumni who so generously provided a grant that made possible the listening center pictured here above.
Mr. Benji Tackett and friends from California who so generously collected seven laptops for our growing computer lab.

Project Honduras
Created by Marco Caceres, Project Honduras is an "unconvential movement to change Honduras. The concept behind projecthonduras.com is the belief that developing countries like Honduras need to tap all of their "human capital" around the world in order to break their cycles of poverty and find ways to implement solutions to persistent problems. The Internet now provides the ability to quickly and cost-effectively organize masses of people and channel their experience, talents, and expertise into specific areas of need in a country."
