Emily Hindenburg

Emily was born and raised in Fresno, California and graduated from Fresno State in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in Communication. During college, she was able to travel and serve in Costa Rica and Africa, which is where she fell in love with international service. Since graduating, She have been able to return to Swaziland, Africa where she lived and worked at an orphanage for a few months in 2014. She later went on to serve with Mercy Volunteer Corps in Baltimore, Maryland where she served adults with intellectual disabilities. Emily then returned home to California where she was the Operations Manager for an in-home care agency. It was during that year, that she quickly realized the corporate world was not for her, and when offered, greatly accepted a second year of AmeriCorps service in Austin, Texas. Emily recently finished her service year in Austin, Texas teaching college preparatory classes to high school students. Emily has never been to Honduras so she am excited to experience a new culture and country and dive deeper into the realm of teaching! Lastly, she is a die-hard Seattle Seahawks fan, and her life revolves around football in the Fall. Go Hawks!
