She can’t wait to continue her journey as an educator in Honduras and to learn and grow beside her students. Jessica is eager to pursue her dreams of traveling and teaching through volunteering with BECA. She is excited to learn more about the Honduran culture, Spanish language, and bilingual education throughout the 2017 - 2018 school year. Jessica is honored to be a part of the BECA team and is looking forward to the adventures and challenges that lie ahead.

I hope you had a great time following along with me throughout the day in 2nd grade! 2nd grade and SJBS is full of adventures and moments that make my heart smile. One of my favorite parts of the day is standing at the portón and greeting all of the students as they walk into to school. It is always a great way to start the day on the right foot! Throughout the day I love to see those “I get it” moments in class, just like when one of my students was finishing a math problem on our board in the video. My 26 students really do make my day, every single day. Between the laughs, organized chaos, tears, and learning we always have so much fun in 2nd grade. The day isn’t quit over at 2 o’clock though! Every day after school is different for me. Whether it’s coaching cheer club after school, dinner at a family’s house, hanging with my roommates, or a well-deserved nap, it is always nice to relax and hang out after school. Hope you enjoyed 2nd grade and typical day in Cofradia, Honduras!
