Max graduated with distinctive honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2017, where he studied Rehabilitation Psychology and Spanish. While attending the UW, Max served as the Office Manager for the Wisconsin Collaborative Education Research Network, worked as the assistant to the Director of Community Relations for the UW, and was the Co-Chair for the School of Social Work's student organization. Growing up in a family in which education was highly valued, Max believes that education is the greatest way to create positive social change in the community, advocating for equal educational opportunities for all. While always having an interest of working in the education sector, his passion for living and working abroad was sparked after studying abroad in Granada, Spain. He is excited to be working with BECA to realize positive change, participate in a vibrant and collaborative environment, and learn about education on an international level. Looking towards the future upon returning to the States, he anticipates to go to graduate school for School Psychology or School Social Work to ultimately become an agent of change for marginalized, minority populations in the school system.
