We are studying life cycles in Science class. For second graders, this means things like eggs growing into tadpoles and then into frogs, or seeds growing into sprouts and then into trees. Of course, the last thing that happens to everything living thing is death, so I included that on their homework. I asked them “What is the last thing that happens to every living thing?” These were my favorite answers:
A1) “The frog will be to die. The tree will be to die. The women is will be to die too.”
A2) “The lingy.”
A3) “When dis boy get Big Big for dis girls.”
A4) “Frog luyen fech.”
A5) “The frog is good.”
